What is veterinary physiotherapy?

Veterinary physiotherapy is a complementary therapy for all animals. It is suitable for animals of all breeds and of any age, but should not be implemented instead of veterinary treatment. Veterinary physiotherapy should be carried out alongside veterinary treatment, where the therapist works closely with your animal's veterinarian to ensure a gold standard of care is provided.

Veterinary physiotherapy uses a multimodal approach to treatment, including manual therapies such as; massage, myofascial release, joint range of motion and stretching. It also implements a variety of electrotherapies including; low level laser therapy, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy and electrical stimulation (TENS and NMES). Katie will also carry out remedial exercises and provide a detailed home exercise plan, as well as advising on home environment, ensuring you have all the information and skills required to optimise your pet's rehabilitation and quality of life.
